The BJ Goodwin Memorial Fund was created in 2003 to honor the legacy of beloved performer, dancer, and educator BJ Goodwin. This special fund provides grants to Northampton-based artists, writers, and arts organizations, specifically funding the development of their talents through travel and exhibition outside our local community.For over two decades, this fund has served as a vital bridge, allowing our local creators to perform, learn, and exhibit in places ranging from Austin and San Francisco to Serbia, South Africa, and Iceland. While our city boasts a vibrant music community, the costs of instruments, maintenance, and private lessons can be a significant obstacle for many families. Your support helps bridge that gap, ensuring every student can join our inclusive community of musicians.
