Offer Kindness Inc. rescues fresh produce from waste, providing nutritious fruits and vegetables to 3,000 people weekly, aiming to reach 10,000. Their mission is to combat food insecurity and spread kindness through healthy food access.

🍊 Help us reduce waste and spread nutritious food! 🍊 ImpactWe are currently saving +15,000 pounds of fruit per week that would have just fallen to the ground. These fruits are reaching around 1,500+ neighbors throughout the Fresno area via food pantries, community-serving organizations (Poverello House, Central California Food Bank, The Ronald McDonald House Charity, The Big Red Church, Wesley Methodist, Our Father&rsquo;s Foster Care), school districts (Parlier School District), and many more places.&nbsp;<p dir="ltr" fr-original-style="line-height:1.7999999999999998;background-color:#ffffff;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt;" style="line-height: 1.8; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); margin: 0pt 0px; width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"> We know how important fresh produce is, and with rising costs, more and more people are finding it out of reach. Fresno and Madera counties have a 16-17% food insecurity rate according to Feeding America&rsquo;s Map the Meal Gap&ndash;meaning they don&rsquo;t have healthy food that is affordable, or easy to get at their local stores. Cold Storage

Some people leave an imprint on the world far beyond their years. Aliza Weintraub was one of those people. Aliza, the cousin of Offer Kindness founders Simon and Aleeza Berman, died in a tragic accident at the age of 19. She was thoughtful, compassionate, and deeply authentic. She loved nature, animals, art, and learning about the world around her. Most of all, she believed in kindness. Aliza loved chesed, acts of loving kindness, and she cared about helping people without judgment. She saw value in every person and believed that everyone deserved dignity, compassion, and support. As we honor Aliza&#39;s memory, we are continuing the work she would have loved: helping our neighbors access fresh, healthy food. Through Offer Kindness, we rescue more than 15,000 pounds of fruit every week that would otherwise go to waste and distribute it to food pantries, schools, senior housing communities, faith organizations, foster care programs, healthcare workers, and families throughout the Fresno area. Today, we are raising $25,000 to purchase a cold storage unit and a delivery van that will allow us to save and distribute even more food. We have already raised $5,000, bringing us one step closer to making this vision a reality. Fresno&#39;s summer temperatures regularly reach 90 to over 100 degrees. Without cold storage, we must pick up and distribute fruit on the same day, limiting how much food we can rescue and how many people we can serve. A cold storage unit and van will help us preserve fresh produce, expand our reach, and ensure that more families have access to nutritious food. Every contribution helps us move closer to our goal and honors a young woman whose life was defined by kindness, generosity, and care for others.
