Old Acquaintance Rescue

Old Acquaintance Rescue provides a safe haven for senior cats, ensuring they receive necessary medical care and a loving environment to thrive. Their mission is to alleviate suffering and promote comfort for elderly felines in need.

Dental Surgery for Catnip! 🐱 helps cover the cost of much‑needed dental care for our senior rescue cat, Catnip. Catnip is a very sweet older girl with severe dental disease, and will likely need 10+ extractions. This surgery is a necessity; to prevent her from developing systemic infection and to help her be comfortable and continue eating well! At Old Acquaintance Rescue, we promise each older cat a safe, gentle place to grow old. Your donation today goes directly toward Catnip's veterinary bill, pain relief, and follow‑up care so she can enjoy soft beds, quiet rooms, and treats again while awaiting her furever home ❤️

UPDATE! Charli had her CT scan at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. The scan confirmed the size and location of her liver shunt. It is LARGE compared to Charli's relatively small body size. But, IT IS OPERABLE! We are scheduling Charli to go in two weeks for her life saving surgery and need immediate help raising funds to cover the cost. The CT scan was $3,000 and the actual surgery is going to be around $6,000-$7,000. Charli DESERVES this surgery. She is feisty, a fighter, despite her condition. We are giving her anti seizure medication and laxatives to help keep her blood ammonia levels down in preparation for her surgery.
