Join us for a thrilling presentation of&nbsp;Ride the Cyclone, brought to life by the talented young artists of Olympia Family Theater&#39;s Summer Stage program! Over the course of two intensive weeks, two casts of dedicated teen performers have immersed themselves in every aspect of this unforgettable musical. Alongside them, our teen Design Camp has created the costumes, props, and scenic elements that bring the world of the show to life, while our teen Technical Theater team have designed and are running the lights and sound. This production is truly a celebration of youth creativity and collaboration! &quot;Ride the Cyclone follows the members of the St. Cassian High School Chamber Choir whose lives are cut tragically short in a roller coaster accident. In a mysterious limbo, they are given one extraordinary chance: each tells their story in hopes of being chosen to return to life. Olympia Family Theater&#39;s 24 Hour Play Festival What happens when writers, actors, directors, designers, technicians, and stage managers have just 24 hours to create six brand new plays from scratch?You get Tales Told in Ten&nbsp;Olympia Family Theater&#39;s annual 24 Hour Play Festival!The adventure begins on Friday when six writers receive a surprise prompt and have just one night to write an original ten minute play. By Saturday morning, directors, actors, designers, and technicians dive into rehearsals, bringing each script to life in a whirlwind day of collaboration and storytelling.&nbsp;That evening, audiences experience the world premieres of six original plays written, rehearsed, designed, and performed in only 24 hours! There will be one show at 7pm, and another show at 9pm!&nbsp;Each performance is completely unique, making Tales Told in Ten one of Olympia&#39;s most exciting annual theater traditions. It&#39;s a joyful celebration of local artists that features creative risk taking and the magic that happens when a community comes together to tell stories.Join us for an unforgettable evening of laughter, heart, surprises, and brand new theater that will never happen exactly the same way again.
