Olympia Jazz Central inspires youth, expands access to music education, and promotes live jazz in Olympia through scholarships, workshops with professional musicians, and community performances by world-class musicians.

Lullaby in Birdland: Donor Appreciation Sunday, August 30 | 4&ndash;6 PM Cocktails &amp; Jazz in Mary&rsquo;s Garden Join Olympia Jazz Central for a relaxed summer afternoon of live jazz, cocktails, community, and a little celebration of what we&rsquo;ve built together. We&rsquo;re gathering to say thank you to the donors and supporters who make Olympia Jazz Central&rsquo;s work possible&mdash;and to welcome anyone who loves jazz and wants to learn more about what we&rsquo;re doing to keep it thriving in our community.Enjoy live music from Olivia James &amp; Eugene Bien while we share some of the impact your support has already made, including the success of our Youth Jazz Symposium and its return in 2027. We&rsquo;ll also share what&rsquo;s happening now, from our all-ages jazz jam on the first Sunday of every month to our Monday night jazz series, and what&rsquo;s ahead for Olympia Jazz Central. Whether you&rsquo;ve supported OJC for years, recently discovered us, or are simply curious about what we do, you&rsquo;re invited. Come have a drink, hear some wonderful jazz, meet the people behind the music, and help us celebrate a growing jazz community in Olympia.

Lullaby in Birdland

Join us one April 18 for a one-day immersive jazz experience bringing students and community musicians together to learn, collaborate, and perform. The day begins with coffee, hot chocolate, sweet treats, and connection, followed by a live concert from our guest instructors. Participants then break into focused sessions and ensemble groups led by professional jazz artists. The symposium culminates in a student performance, where participants share what they&rsquo;ve worked on throughout the day. Free for enrolled students (K&ndash;college), $35 for adults Come learn. Come listen. Come play. Help keep jazz alive and thriving in Olympia.
