Spiral Bound&nbsp;Book &amp; Music by Miranda Ferriss Jones&nbsp;Lyrics by Miranda Ferriss Jones &amp; Richard Edelman&nbsp;Directed by Miranda Ferriss Jones&nbsp;&nbsp;Spiral Bound follows a young, heartbroken woman who is summoned by fragments of Sappho&rsquo;s poetry into a liminal space&mdash;the &ldquo;heartbreak hotel&rdquo;&mdash;where she encounters the nine Ancient Greek Muses. Guided by Sappho, the Muses lead the protagonist through the rooms of the hotel and through her own pain, so she may join the lineage of longing begun long ago.&nbsp;&nbsp;Spiral Bound&nbsp;began as a series of poems written by sculptor Richard Edelman between 1968&ndash;1972 about the women who stole his young heart. Decades later, composer-lyricist Miranda Ferriss Jones encountered the notebooks and recognized these women&mdash;in her own experiences, imaginings, and in herself. She transformed twelve poems into a song cycle, and now into a musical theatre work.&nbsp;&nbsp;In this first full stage version, the muse is presented not as a passive object of desire, but as a force that creates&mdash;existing on both ends of the gaze of longing. Seven Guitars&nbsp;By August Wilson&nbsp;Directed by Phillip Christian Smith&nbsp;&nbsp;The sixth in the author&#39;s American Century Cycle, a decade-by-decade exploration of the Black experience in America, Seven Guitars is part bawdy comedy, part dark elegy, and part mystery. In the backyard of a Pittsburgh tenement in 1948, friends gather to mourn a blues guitarist and singer who died just as his career was on the verge of taking off. The N.O.W / Night of Original Work features six original adaptations of short stories. The pieces are conceived, written, performed, designed, and directed by the International Performance Ensemble Class of 2026. We invite you to experience an evening full of artistic innovation, creativity, and talent. A little more about each work:&nbsp;THE VANISHING POINTDiana needs a change she can&rsquo;t come back from. So- she sets off to live as a deer in the woods behind her childhood home.&nbsp;&nbsp;HAUNTING OLIVIAIn a backwater beach town, young brothers Timothy and Wallow find a pair of swimming goggles that let them see ghosts. Armed with the goggles and a tiny old boat, they set off in search of answers about their little sister Olivia&rsquo;s death. Retracing Olivia&rsquo;s imaginative world, the brothers embark on a universal journey of grief, forgiveness, and moving on.&nbsp;THE KINGThe cold war just got hot hot HOT! An immortal, kinky, cannibalistic goddess who has lived on Earth for many centuries waits for the end of the world. Believing she is the last of her kind, she plans for world domination, unaware that she may not be as alone as she thinks.&nbsp; HARRISON BERGERONIt&rsquo;s 2081 and everyone is equal. America has just passed the 211th, 212th, and 213th amendments, handicapping citizens with gross capability.
