Philippine Independence Day Council

The Philippine Independence Day Council promotes Filipino culture and supports Filipino-Canadian youth through educational scholarships and community events, fostering connections and celebrating heritage in Canada.

Let’s keep the celebration going! Gala glamour meets after-party energy. 🥂 Tonight was about giving back to two incredible causes, and now we’re celebrating that impact at the Four Seasons. ✨ 🎉 Join PIDC for “Sari not Sari,” a relaxed after party where Filipino culture, music, and stories stay center stage.

Sari not Sari After Party

The vision of the Sama Sama Gala is to celebrate Filipino culture through an evening of culinary excellence, music, and connection in support of Filipino-Canadian young people's access to higher education. The 2026 edition of Sama Sama provides plenty of mingling opportunities with leaders of the Toronto community. Proceeds of this year's generosity will be directed to the George Brown Presidents' Bayanihan Scholarship Fund, awarded to students showing academic promise and demonstrating financial need. It will also benefit the APL.DE. AP Foundation, which provides support to BIPOC creatives in Toronto, Philippines and US. An exclusive black-tie gala celebrating Filipino excellence through culinary arts, culture, and community. Hosted at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, the evening will feature a world-class dining experience and an intimate performance by Apl De Ap. The event brings together leaders, changemakers, and supporters for an unforgettable night of fine dining, live entertainment, meaningful connections, and philanthropy.
