Phoebes Bridge Foundation KY aims to create a brighter, compassionate world through engaging events like Smash & Crash Out, where community members come together to support their mission and foster positive change.

Every bid placed in the Phoebe&#39;s Bridge Foundation, KY&nbsp;Online Auction helps us build a bridge of hope for families caring for children with Cerebral Palsy throughout Kentucky. Funds raised will provide financial assistance for expenses such as travel to medical appointments, lodging during extended hospital stays, meals away from home, adaptive equipment needs, and support for families who experience lost wages while caring for their child.Your generosity allows us to walk beside these families during some of their most challenging moments, reminding them that they are not alone in their journey. Every item won and every dollar raised helps us continue our mission of bringing hope, compassion, and practical support to children with Cerebral Palsy and the families who love them. Winning bidders can pick up their paid-for items on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Northgate Shopping Center (Greensburg) from 12:00-1:00 pm EST or can make alternate pick-up arrangements.

The Iron Kettle Invitational Chili Cook-Off isn&rsquo;t just about incredible chili&mdash;it&rsquo;s about coming together as a community to support families facing extraordinary challenges.This event benefits the Phoebe&rsquo;s Bridge Foundation, a charitable initiative created to support families caring for children with severe disabilities such as cerebral palsy. When a child has complex medical needs, the costs go far beyond medical bills. Families often face expenses for travel to specialist appointments, lodging during hospital stays, lost wages from missed work, and everyday necessities while caring for their child.Our foundation exists to help bridge those gaps.Inspired by our granddaughter Phoebe, who lives with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and deafness caused by a rare genetic condition, this foundation was created from firsthand experience. COMPETITION RULES AND REQUIREMENTS CHEFS MAY START SIGNING IN AT 7AM WITH EVENT COORDINATORS WITH PHOEBE&#39;S BRIDGE FOUNDATION.EVENT SCHEDULE:7-9AM: CHEF SIGN IN, CHOOSE YOUR SPOT AND SET UP!7AM (AFTER SIGN IN)-12PM: PREP AND COOK TIME&nbsp; 9AM: WELCOME CHEFS MEETING WITH EVENT COORDINATORS12-1PM: JUDGES SAMPLE, SAVOR AND SCORE1-3:35PM: EVENT OPENS TO THE PUBLIC FOR TASTING AND VOTING3:45-4PM: BALLOT BOXES ARE COUNTED, VOTES ARE TALLIED 4PM: AWARD CEREMONY COOK STATION REQUIREMENTS Food Temperature Control Hot foods .must be kept at 135 degrees F or higher. Cooks may use: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Crockpot for pre-cooked chili - We have updated the parameters and you may pre-cook your chili and bring it to the event.Propane burners&nbsp; Instant pots &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Cast iron over flame (open flame must be a contained, controlled cookfire)Cold holding: cold items must be kept at 41 degrees F or below. This includes but is not limited to:Raw meat Dairy products Some garnishes Cooks may use coolers with ice or ice bathsFOOD THERMOMETER Each competitor/team should have a probe thermometer to check temperatures.GLOVE/UTENSIL HANDLING Competitors should avoid bare-hand contact with ready to eat food. Cooks may use:&nbsp;Gloves Ladles Tongs Service SpoonsGloves must be changed if contaminated, utensils must be sanitizedHAIR RESTRAINTS Cooks should have some form of hair restraint, such as:Hat Bandana Hair Tie Chef CapNO HOME-PREPARED FOOD All food must be:Prepared on site, OR From approved commercial sources (No chili pre-cooked at home)INGREDIENT PROTECTION Food must be protected from contamination. Ingredients should be kept covered. Food must be kept off the ground. Use tables (not coolers on the ground)THREE BUCKET WASH STATION Each station must have three buckets for dishwashing:Bucket 1: Soap/warm water&nbsp; Bucket 2: Rince water&nbsp; Bucket 3: SanitizerFIRE SAFETY Each station must: Have a fire extinguisher. Make sure propane tanks are secure. NO open flames/fire pits under any type of covering without ventilation (tents, trailers, pop-ups).UTENSIL STORAGE Clean utensils must be stored in clean containers, handle up, not directly on tablesNO BARE GROUND FOOD STORAGE Food cannot be stored:On the ground In open/uncovered containers In unprotected coolersLABELING INGREDIENTS Each station must display a list of all allergens (nuts, beans, dairy, alcohol)I agree to follow local health department and food safety guidelines for temporary food eventsThe foundation will supply tasting cups, spoons and napkins.ENTRY FEES: $25 per entry (Cook/Teams may enter more than one chili recipe, each entry is an additional $25)
