The mission of the Fraternity of St. Charles in Paraguay was born in 1989 when Fr. Aldo Trento arrived at the parish of San Rafael in a neighborhood on the outskirts of Asunción. In the following years, several works were born around the parish such as a school, a hospital for the terminally ill, a farm, and other educational centers. The reason for such fruitfulness is the love of the Church and the desire to build together that characterize the Paraguayan people. It is a fertile ground that is still marked in a positive way by the Jesuit reducciones that brought Christianity in this country five hundred years ago. The parish is a lively and growing reality, distinguished for the participation of kids, young adults, and families. Some of our priests are also involved in teaching in high schools and the university.
