Support PS 33 Chelsea Prep with a one-time or recurring monthly donation to our Annual Appeal. The PTA of PS 33 needs your help to support the excellence in education and the most beloved in- school enrichment programs that are unique to our school. While the PTA hosts various fundraising events every year, we rely largely on family giving and corporate matches to subsidize these programs. We are kindly asking for a contribution of $2,000 (that’s $6 a day) per child to help maintain the high-quality programs that make PS 33 so special, but please know donations of any size are appreciated and welcomed. Your contributions fund 100% of the following programs:Enrichment Programs such as Third Street Music, Chess, National Dance Institute, Center for Architecture, Arts Connection, Child’s Play NY, and TADA!Teacher’s Assistants (TAs) for every grade from K-5School & Student Support which include Recess Coaches, Track & Field, Math Club, Field Day, Field Trips, Principal Cindy’s Wishlist, and many more!Fundraising Expenses & Community Building Events such as Falloween, Holiday Movie Night, Lunar New Year Celebration, Spring Gala and Auction, Family Game Night, and many more!Lice Checks 2x per year *The NYC DOE does not provide funding for any of these programs. These programs are made possible by YOUR GENEROUS CONTRIBUTIONS! Please Note: This year we are doing things a bit differently! We are combining the Teacher’s Assistants (TA) Fund and Annual Fund into one big appeal to simplify giving and allocate resources more efficiently. The recommended tax-deductible donation is $2,000 per child. But this “recommended” donation is just that — a recommendation. Please give what you can and consider giving more if your means allows. Our goal is for every PS33 family to participate at any level resulting in the school’s 100% participation. We need your support to meet our budgeted expenses and to help increase the school’s participation rate, which will consequently make PS33 a better candidate for grant proposals. Participation is a characteristic that family-body organizations and politicians look for when deciding where to allocate grant money.
