Founded on the belief that everyone deserves to gather, celebrate, and express themselves without fear of harassment or intimidation, Rainbow Peacekeepers provides trained volunteers (like you) who help create safer and more welcoming environments at public events, demonstrations, community gatherings, and educational programs.You will be trained in conflict de-escalation, situational awareness, communication techniques, and trauma-informed practices. Rather than acting as security or law enforcement, Peacekeepers serve as calm, visible community members who help reduce tension, support individuals in distress, and connect people with resources when needed.Rainbow Peacekeepers was created in response to the growing need for community-led safety solutions, particularly for LGBTQ+ individuals who may not always feel protected in traditional systems. We believe that safety is built through relationships, trust, preparation, and compassion.Through training, education, and active community engagement, Rainbow Peacekeepers works to foster environments where people can participate fully, speak freely, and be their authentic selves.
