Rapid City Central Student Council

The Rapid City Central Student Council empowers students through leadership, community service, and school spirit. They create memorable experiences, support peers, and promote cultural diversity while fostering a positive school environment.

This year, our Student Council is focused on giving back, building school spirit, serving our community, and developing student leaders. We want to create experiences that make students excited to be part of our school while also finding meaningful ways to make a difference in our community. Funds raised through this campaign will help us give back directly to our students by providing free food at school events, T-shirts, more prizes and giveaways, and other activities that make school events more fun and memorable. Your support will also help fund our Culture Night, an event that brings students and families together to celebrate the different cultures represented in our school. Community service is another important part of what we do. One of our favorite traditions is Turkey Bingo, where the price of admission is canned food that is donated to Feeding South Dakota. Student Council uses funds to purchase prizes for the event, allowing us to create a fun school tradition while collecting food for families in need. Throughout the year, our students also participate in additional volunteer and service opportunities in our community. We are proud to have been recognized as both a National Gold Council of Excellence and a South Dakota Council of Excellence, reflecting our students' commitment to leadership, service, school involvement, and making a positive impact. We also believe in investing in our students' futures. Each year, Student Council provides an annual scholarship to a graduating senior, and one of our biggest goals this year is to help several Student Council students attend the National LEAD Conference in Washington, D.C. This experience gives students the opportunity to learn alongside student leaders from across the country, strengthen their leadership skills, and bring new ideas back to benefit our school and community. Every donation makes a difference. Your support helps us give more back to our students, create memorable school experiences, serve our community, recognize our graduating leaders, and provide opportunities for students to grow as leaders.Thank you for investing in our students and helping Student Council make a lasting impact in our school and community!
