Re-Earth Initiative

Re-Earth Initiative empowers communities to combat climate change through education, advocacy, and sustainable practices. They aim to inspire collective action for a healthier planet and a sustainable future.

The Awaken Action Youth Climate Gala 2026 brings together young leaders, artists, philanthropists, and organizers advancing innovative climate solutions rooted in reciprocity, justice, and impact. 🌍 Join Re-Earth Initiative, Care About Climate, Earth Daughters, the Entertainment and Culture Pavilion, and Engajamundo, along with our keynote speaker, Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer, for an evening of storytelling, performances, and concrete calls to action. The gala will take place at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, located at 405 West 55th Street, New York, NY 10019. Your ticket supports youth-led climate education, storytelling, campaigning, capacity building, and ecosystem restoration. If you cannot join us in person, please consider making a donation to support this work. Together, we can continue investing in Indigenous leadership, youth-led solutions, and a more just and sustainable future. 🌎✨

It's time for Indigenous Youth to shape climate policy! Dayana Blanco, Ferdison Valmond, Britney Supernault, Ziigwan Nangoons, Kalea Aquino, Lynonah Tausa, and Naisiae Tumpes have been chosen as the Inaugural Youth Fellows of REI where they will undergo training for how to get Indigenous voices to shape UN Climate Policy. This will allow the fellows to meet each other, have direct access to UN policy spaces, and get incorporated in the Indigenous Peoples Constituency. Our Inaugural cohort represent 6 socio-cultural regions around the world. Their mission is to bring the values of Indigenous worldviews into global policy spaces. Why this matters: Global climate decisions are still made in spaces that systematically exclude the people and territories most impacted by the climate crisis. International negotiations remain technical, under-resourced, and dominated by state and corporate actors, while Indigenous Peoples and Frontline communities are often relegated to symbolic participation. From Re-Earth Initiative, we believe a change in this dynamic is possible by shifting who gets access, influence, and continuity inside multilateral climate governance. What funding makes possible:With the necessary financial resources, Re-Earth Initiative can:

Secure travel expenses and stipends for the first fellowship cohort of Indigenous youth negotiators

Deepen training partnerships and offer multilingual, region-specific modules for fellows

Ensure continuity across years, building long-term policy expertise rather than restarting every COP cycle

Scale policy production, increasing the quality and reach of briefs, submissions, and advocacy tools grounded in grassroots realities

More funding allows us to move from access to influence, and from participation to power. Why support us: With this program, Re-Earth Initiative is intervening directly in global climate governance by redistributing access, capacity, and continuity to those historically excluded in close alignment with movements and Frontline realities. The Fellowship is a strategic investment in:

Youth Negotiators & Climate Justice

Indigenous People's Rights and Leadership

Accountable & movement-grounded climate policy engagement

Help Us Send 7 Indigenous Youth Fellows to COP31

In March 2027, one young person has the chance to spend a week at sea for the annual gathering of North Atlantic humpback whales. We need your help to get our scholars onboard. Too often, hands-on conservation opportunities are limited to those who have the money, mobility, connections or access to the right networks. The New Explorer Scholarship widens access to hands-on ocean conservation experiences for people who might not otherwise get the chance to take part. Alongside The Seabirds Foundation team, scholars will take part in citizen science, contribute to field data collection and gain first-hand experience at sea. Your donation helps fund travel costs giving our scholar the chance to build experience, skills, and relationships that can support where they go next. Help get our New Explorer onboard this expedition. Donate today. ℹ️ About this fundraiser: Re-Earth Initiative is a global youth-to-youth climate justice hub that catalyzes change by resourcing, convening, and educating youth and frontline communities to transform systems. The Seabirds Foundation opens up opportunities for everyday people to take part in field work, study whale populations, and contribute to research.Together, through the New Explorer Scholarship, we are breaking down barriers so more young people find their place in ocean science and exploration.
