Ripple Effect Conservation Initiative

Ripple Effect Conservation Initiative unites communities to protect wildlife and restore habitats. Through initiatives like the Save Bird Island project, we empower individuals to take action for meaningful conservation and lasting change.

Paddle for a Purpose is a community fundraising effort supporting Save Bird Island on Lake Conroe. Bird Island is an important habitat for birds and wildlife on Lake Conroe, but years of erosion have dramatically reduced the island’s size. Every mile paddled and every dollar raised helps bring our community one step closer to protecting and restoring this important habitat. Whether you paddle the Turkey SUP 5K, create a fundraising team, fundraise individually, or simply make a donation, you can be part of the ripple. Every Mile Makes a Ripple. 🌊 Important Tax Information: Ripple Effect Conservation Initiative (RECI) is currently seeking federal tax-exempt recognition under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our application is currently pending with the IRS. Contributions made while our application is pending are not currently represented as tax-deductible. If RECI is subsequently recognized as tax-exempt with an effective date that includes the date of your contribution, your contribution may become tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your individual circumstances.
