Rising Star Riders

Rising Star Riders provides therapeutic riding programs that empower individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to enhance confidence and independence through safe, accessible equine experiences, fostering personal growth and community connection.

Join us for a spooky-good time at our Fall Ghost Hunt 👻🐴 We will explore the farm on foot and on horseback, follow clues, and uncover &ldquo;ghosts&rdquo; hiding around the barn and arena. Games and crafts for all. Horseback riding events for current students.&nbsp; Your Sponsorship supports Rising Star Riders&rsquo; therapeutic riding programs, helping riders with disabilities and special needs build confidence, independence, and strength alongside our horses. Come out for an afternoon of fun, and laughter.&nbsp; How does this work? Each student needs sponsors for each ghost they find, up to 10 ghosts will be found per student. You can sponsor per ghost or a flat fee. The student with the most sponsorships will win a prize. So far the prizes we have include an ipad, and horse framed art, and more...Please indicate on your sponsorship which student you are sponsoring and if you do not have a student to sponsor you are welcome to do a general sponsorship that can help with the care for one of our program horses, Bella, Poppy, Mini, Sonny or Truffles.&nbsp; We really look forward to having a very spooky event for the participants and spectators.&nbsp;

Fall Ghost Hunt

MANDATORY training&nbsp;For current and NEW volunteers Join us for Volunteer Training 🐴 Learn how to safely support our riders, horses, and instructors during therapeutic riding sessions. This training covers barn safety, leading and sidewalking, and ways you can help riders build confidence and balance. Your time helps riders thrive 🤝 Whether you&rsquo;re new to horses or experienced, we&rsquo;ll give you the skills you need. Come ready to learn, ask questions, and become part of the Rising Star Riders community.

Volunteer Training

Relax, sip, and create while supporting therapeutic riding at Rising Star Riders 🐴⭐. Every ticket helps provide safe, accessible equine sessions that build confidence and independence for riders with disabilities. Enjoy guided painting, light refreshments, and good company&mdash;no art experience needed. Register below to reserve your spot and spend an evening that brings color to your canvas and real support to our riders.

🎉 Excitement is in the air! Get ready to be part of the 4th Annual 5x5 Art Show &amp; Sale at Rising Star Riders&#39;s fundraising event. It&#39;s an event like no other, and we want you to be there! 🎉 Rising Star Riders (RSR) in conjunction with the Tehachapi Arts Center (TAC) presents our 4th Annual 5x5 art show and sale. The show will take place on May 8, 2026 with the doors opening at 5:55. All Art is size 5&rdquo;x 5&rdquo;and will sell for $55.55. We are seeking submissions of artwork for this annual fundraising event. &nbsp; 100% of the proceeds will go to Rising Star Riders, a therapeutic horseback, riding program for children and adults with developmental, physical, and emotional challenges.&nbsp; This is an annual fundraising event, providing artists a chance to display their talents, and allow supporters to purchase a quality piece of art at an affordable price. We invite you to participate in our fourth year of this great Tehachapi tradition. &nbsp;TAC will provide participating Artist with the 5&rdquo;x 5&rdquo; Canvas (while supplies last) or artist are welcome to use their own canvas or surface. Canvases are available for pick up at the Tehachapi Arts Center. Deadline for submission is May 1, 2026.
