Risucon

RisuCon is a nonprofit comic convention in Montgomery County, MD, celebrating superheroes and anime. It fosters community through events, supports local artists, and provides grants for high school students pursuing art in anime/animation.

RisuCon is Montgomery County, Maryland&#39;s Comic Con and is for people who love superheroes and anime. Risucon 2026 will be September 26 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, MD. RisuCon is a single-day comic con where whole families can enjoy dressing as their favorite superheroes or anime characters. RisuCon will feature panels, an all-ages activity room, vendors, a cosplay contest, a theater running constant anime, the Cosplay Barn, and a game room. Over 125 dealers will have original artwork, comics, toys, stickers, figurines, and so much more! RisuCon is the annual meeting of the Montgomery County Comic &amp; Cosplay Club, and is a non-profit 501c3 charitable organization. Admission &quot;passes/tickets&quot; are membership dues in the organization and are used to fund RisuCon and future events, as well as funding grants to high school students to take college-level art classes in anime/animation, and offer assistance to local artists in need of promotion. The Montgomery County Comic &amp; Cosplay Club has partnered with <a fr-original-style="" href="https://superherosupport.org" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Superhero Support</a>, a 501c3 organization of cosplayers dedicated to raising spirits, awareness, and funds for local children&#39;s hospitals, orphanages, libraries, volunteer fire companies, museums, nonprofits, community associations, celebratory parades, and more. Together, they bring a love of anime and a sense of community to RisuCon which is all-inclusive and celebrates diversity in all of its forms. RisuCon is fun for the whole family; one child under 12 admitted FREE with each dues-paying adult.
