Several years ago, I planted a vineyard on my property in Valley Cottage, New York. What began as a dream slowly became rows of vines, changing seasons, hard work, and eventually bottles of wine.Along the way, I realized something important. The vineyard was never really about the grapes. It was about bringing people together. Throughout my life I have loved gathering family, friends, neighbors, travelers, and new acquaintances around a table. Some of the most meaningful conversations happen when people slow down, share a meal, enjoy a glass of wine, and connect with one another. You may have attended one of my fundraisers for Ventures For Good Foundation, my educational charity in Africa. Now, we are reaching out ---closer to home! That is why I am creating The Riverwind Table. The Riverwind Table is a private supper club hosted at Riverwind Vineyard. Several times each year, members will be invited to gather for intimate vineyard dinners, wine tastings, guest speakers, seasonal celebrations, and conversations that inspire and connect. Seating will be limited at these gatherings but you can always suggest hosting your own at the vineyard. Some evenings may explore wine and food pairings. Others may feature stories of travel, entertainment, philanthropy, or the art of winemaking. Every gathering will celebrate community, learning, and the simple pleasure of sharing a table. Our vineyard produces limited quantities of wine from Chardonnel, Vidal, Sauvignon Blanc, Chambourcin, and Cabernet Franc. Other NY growers will be featured, as well as some NY crafted spirits. Members will have opportunities to learn about these elixirs, experience the vineyard through the seasons, and enjoy special access to limited releases. The Riverwind Table is not a restaurant and not a public event venue. It is a gathering place for people who appreciate good wine, good food, good conversation, and meaningful connections.I hope you will join us at the table. If the idea appeals to you, send me a message (
[email protected]) and I'll add you to the interest list.A table is always better when shared. We are just getting started!!!Joanne ClementeFounderRiverwind Vineyard
