UV Printing - Consumables
Membership only partially covers rent. It does not cover consumables. Of all the machines in the maker space, this machine probably has the highest consumables cost. There is a $600 print head that is expected to last a year, a $30 cleaning cartridge that is used regardless of how much you print, and 6 $30.00 ink cartridges, just to turn the machine on and squirt ink. There are also various maintenance items such as paint scrappers and adhesive mats for both the small and big print bed.The donation schedule for this printer is as follows:$10.00 per use - waived on Maker Wednesdays if there is already a job running.$2.00 per mL of ink after the first mL (if paying the $10.00 use fee).
