Local breweries are coming together to raise awareness and funds for the Sexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA) during April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Each brewery hosts a release party for their unique brew. The brewers are putting their own twists on a beer that features Simcoe hops, an American varietal known for bright, citrusy flavors with earthy undertones. It is a favorite among American brewers and consumers alike, espcially for IPA lovers.&nbsp; SARA is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency working to eliminate sexual violence and its impacts through education, advocacy, and support services. SARA serves individuals and communities in the City of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson. SARA works with survivors of all ages and genders, as well as nonoffending friends and family. Named in honor of Annette DeGregoria Grimm, who served as SARA&rsquo;s Executive Director from 1986&ndash;2001, this award recognizes extraordinary contributions to the elimination of sexual violence and its impacts in our community.
