Second Bloom of Chatham invites you to partner with us as a sponsor of the&nbsp;Passing the Peace Walk: A 21-Mile Relay across Chatham, benefiting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Chatham County. Sponsoring the Passing the Peace Walk offers meaningful, high-visibility alignment with a vital local cause while directly funding Second Bloom&rsquo;s essential crisis services, local advocacy, and shelter programs. Every mile of this walk represents a survivor finding their footing. We invite you to stand with them. From Planting Seeds of Peace to a 21-Mile MovementThe true seed of inspiration for the Passing of the Peace Walk came earlier this year, when a group of Buddhist monks moved through Chatham County on their nationwide Walk for Peace. Watching hundreds of our neighbors line Highway 64 in the winter cold just to share a quiet moment of compassion, safety, and connection was deeply moving. It proved how much our community hungers for active, visible expressions of unity, and care. That display of shared humanity inspired a question: How can we channel that same collective energy to support the survivors right here in our own backyard? Healing from trauma cannot happen in isolation, yet for many survivors of domestic and sexual violence, isolation is the heaviest burden they carry. Our county is vast, and the distances can feel immense. On November 8th, this 21-mile journey will quite literally bridge those gaps. As our peace token is handed off across the county, it symbolizes the continuous, unbroken line of safety, advocacy, and service that Second Bloom of Chatham provides every single day.

Passing the Peace Walk: Sponsor Registration

This fall, Chatham County will unite to bridge the gap for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. The inaugural Passing the Peace Walk is a 21-mile, relay-style journey stretching from Pittsboro to Siler City.We are seeking 42 dedicated Peace Ambassadors to lead this charge. As an ambassador, you aren&#39;t just walking&mdash;you are carrying the ceremonial symbol of peace, raising critical funds, and shining a light on the vital resources Second Bloom of Chatham provides to our community.

This inspiring afternoon will feature a curated fashion show showcasing pieces from the Second Bloom Thrift Shop, meaningful storytelling, and opportunities to come together in support of survivors rebuilding their lives. Second Bloom of Chatham is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing safety, resources, and long-term support for individuals impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Proceeds from this event directly support the development and ongoing operation of an emergency shelter in Chatham County&mdash;ensuring survivors have a safe place to turn in crisis.
