LXCL:SENDure CIC is a fully volunteer-led organisation dedicated to supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), along with their families. Taking a holistic approach to support, we create inclusive opportunities that promote confidence, well-being, social connection and personal growth. Through a range of activities, we aim to reduce isolation and help families thrive in a welcoming and understanding environment. Together, We Shine 💛

Soft Play SEN Session is a relaxed, low-sensory play time exclusively for children and young people with SEND, and their siblings. The Play Factory will not be open to the general public during this period. Numbers are limited to ensure a supportive and healthy environment for those in attendance 💛

Take a quiet pause with Healing with Lesley 🧘&zwj;♀️🕯️ Our meditation session offers a calm, judgment‑free space for SEND families, carers, and professionals to slow down, breathe, and reset together. What to expect Gentle, guided practices, simple breathing exercises, and time to notice how your body and mind feel. You do not need any experience... just come as you are.

We&rsquo;ll be hopping aboard the infamous Yellow Boats with Whitby Coastal Cruises, setting sail at 11:00am, followed by a picnic and play at Pannett Park. Please indicate whether you would like to attend either activity or both. The event is open to all ages, and siblings are more than welcome to attend too! We&rsquo;re pleased to offer one free adult and child place on the boat trip. Additional adults and children wishing to join can book on at a reduced rate of &pound;4 per person. We&rsquo;re looking forward to a fantastic day out together! 😊

Take some time to unwind in a calm and relaxed environment, delivered with our SEND community in mind. These sessions are open to parents, carers, and siblings aged 16 and over, offering an opportunity to relax, reset, and feel cared for. Friday at the River Sauna offers the perfect chance to leave the week behind. With the wood-fired sauna warming up, steam gently rising, and the river ready for an optional cold dip, it&rsquo;s a simple, restorative way to ease into the weekend. Nestled beneath a beautiful forest canopy just minutes from Whitby, this hidden riverside sauna feels a world away from everyday life. Enjoy the soothing heat of the sauna, the refreshing river dips, and the peaceful surroundings of this little wild sanctuary on the water. Attendees will need to bring a water bottle and towel to sit on! This towel will also get wet if you choose to go for a dip in the river afterwards, so you may require a second to dry. Please note, shower and changing facilities are available on site! Whitby Wellbeing Sauna Session

KickStart is a relaxed, inclusive football session, delivered in partnership with Fishburn Park F.C, where children and young people with SEND can play, learn skills and enjoy time with peers at their own pace. These sessions are designed to provide a fun, welcoming and supportive environment where children and young people can enjoy football, make new friends, build confidence and develop new skills at their own pace. Whether they&#39;re experienced players or kicking a ball for the very first time, everyone is welcome. We focus on participation, enjoyment and inclusion rather than competition, ensuring every child has the opportunity to get involved and feel part of the team. Who can attend?<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Children, up to age 14, with SEND.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Siblings are welcome to join in too.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Parents and carers are required to stay and enjoy the session from the sidelines.</li></ul>We look forward to welcoming you to Broomfield Park and seeing you on the pitch!⚽

With the sensory room reserved just for your family, children can explore and engage in sensory play at their own pace in a calm, welcoming, and supportive environment. This private session is ideal for children who may find busy settings overwhelming or who benefit from having the space to themselves. Families and carers are encouraged to join in, relax, and enjoy quality time together while exploring the sensory resources available 💛

Join ThinkSafe Forensics for a fun, interactive CSI Detective session. Whilst the young detectives having their fingerprints taken and busy cracking the case, parents and carers are welcome to relax with a brew and enjoy a chat in a friendly, supportive environment 💛

Join&nbsp;Whitby Town FC for ALL home fixtures throughout the 2026/27 season! This is a fantastic opportunity for children, young people and adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and/or Disabilities, along with their families, to enjoy live football in a welcoming and inclusive environment while building friendships and confidence. What&#39;s Included: ⚽ Each booking provides one pass. This admits one individual with SEN and/or Disabilities, along with a carer. Please only book the number of places you require. Join REConnect for a hands-on river discovery session at Calla Beck! We&#39;ll be kick sampling in the beck to safely collect riverflies and other freshwater invertebrates before identifying them together on the riverbank. Discover these fascinating creatures up close and learn how they help us monitor the health and water quality of our local rivers. A fun, educational outdoor experience for the whole family. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear that you don&#39;t mind getting wet or muddy 💛

Get ready for a day where everyone&rsquo;s welcome to swing, bowl, and cheer! Whitby Cricket Club and SENDure are teaming up for a fun‑filled inclusive cricket session packed with laughter, teamwork and seaside spirit.&nbsp; Everyone is welcome! It doesn&#39;t matter if you are enjoying the game the first time, this is all about having fun, making friends and celebrating inclusion. Enjoy a calm, accessible visit to the Marine Discovery Centre 🐠 The Marine Discovery Centre is a small, family-friendly aquarium and marine education centre and closely linked with the&nbsp;Whitby Lobster Hatchery, a conservation project that helps raise and release young lobsters into the North Sea to support local marine ecosystems and sustainable fishing. This pass is for children and young people with SEND and their families, offering a gentler way to explore the underwater world together, and is valid for one adult and one child/young person.
