Silverton Cub Scouts Pack 485 fosters community spirit and youth development through engaging activities like the Pinewood Derby, promoting teamwork, creativity, and fun for families while instilling values of leadership and responsibility.

August 8th 2026 Noon-5 in Old Mill Park&nbsp;In partnership with the Homer Davenport Days Festival Silverton Cub Scout pack #485 is excited to present the first annual Community Pinewood Derby August 8th 2026 Noon-5 in Old Mill Park&nbsp;Design, build and race your very own pine wood derby car against your friend, your teacher, your neighbor, your boss or even your grandpa! Ages 5 to 105 this event is fun for the whole family and will bring our community together as we cheer on the fastest racers. Who knows could it be you?Registration for this event Opens May 1st through July 25th. Cost $30 per entry (limited to 90 entries)registration includes: one blank car kit, one pit pass for the day of race and access to community build days (rsvp required-space is limited) where Cub Scout leaders will help you to design and build your car prior to race day. Once registered you can pick up your car kit at any of our Tuesday night pack meetings in the fellowship hall of 1st christian church 6:30-7:30 - all registrations must be submitted online and paid in full. Cars must meet event specifications rules and regulations and be made from the kit provided within the last 6 months. *exclusion Alumni and Renegade racers&nbsp; May the best racer win! Ready? Set? Race!
