Every day, something magical happens here. Teens craft story arcs for their first novels. Kids transform creature ideas into stickers or felted figures—and feel pride watching others engage with their work. But this magic comes with a cost that's easy to overlook. Arts programming operates on the thinnest of margins, and physical space rental can consume half of their budgets before they've bought a ream of paper or compensated themselves for curriculum development. Many programs vanish simply because gathering in-person is too expensive. That's why SGP absorbs part of that overhead. We reduce rental fees for partners like Make Art, Novel Camp, Drag & Draw, and Life Recording — Live! —so they can hold their, camps, classes, open studios, and other events here, focus on what matters, and keep bringing storytelling, ceramics, life drawing, sticker-making, and more to our community. Your gift directly subsidizes space costs, giving all four programs more runway to connect with and serve the community.
