Tickets are $2 each, and the winner will be drawn on Thursday, July 9, following the 6:00 PM Mass honoring the Feast of Mary Queen of Peace. Those attending in person may purchase tickets at the chapel. For those unable to attend, tickets may be purchased online through this page. Restore the Historic Bell Tower of Mary Queen of Peace The Society of Mary Queen of Peace of Pottsville invites you to become part of an important preservation effort: restoring the historic bell tower of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Chapel. Dedicated in 1929, Mary Queen of Peace has stood for nearly a century as a beacon of faith, prayer, and community in Pottsville. Historic photographs from the church&rsquo;s dedication era show the bell tower crowned with beautiful mission-style clay tile roofing, a defining feature of the church&rsquo;s Spanish Mission architecture. Over the decades, the original roofing was replaced, and today the bell tower is in need of significant restoration and protection from the elements. Our goal is to restore the tower&rsquo;s historic appearance while preserving this cherished landmark for future generations. Funds raised through the Bell Tower Restoration Fund will be used for professional assessments, historic preservation planning, roof stabilization, and the eventual restoration of the bell tower roof using historically appropriate materials and methods. Every contribution&mdash;large or small&mdash;helps preserve an irreplaceable piece of Pottsville&rsquo;s religious, architectural, and community heritage. Together, we can ensure that Mary Queen of Peace continues to stand as a sacred place of prayer and a visible symbol of faith for generations to come.
