South West Mull and Iona Development fosters community resilience and creativity through nature-based events and activities, celebrating local culture and the environment. They aim to connect people with nature and each other for a sustainable future.

FOR REST @ Tiroran Forest is a community day in the woods, celebrating local nature, people, and practical ways to enjoy and live in our environment. 🌲 &nbsp;10.30-11.45am&nbsp;Ponies and Forest&nbsp;Bathing, with Zoe and Wendy&nbsp;Tune into your senses and be immersed in the woodland environment in our guided forest bathing and equine experience. We&rsquo;ll be joined by ponies, Mackie and Freya, to help deepen our sense of calm and connection.&nbsp;12.15-1.30pm Play with Words and Aerial Dance, with Seth and Jessica&nbsp;&nbsp;Go naming wild! Play with words! Kids and parents will be encouraged to look and come up with new names for things in the forest. There may even be a competition between kids and parents. In the end a human will dangle from a tree in silk...what shall we call this strange creature?&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience creativity through nature, awakening mind and body through forest wondering and aerial dance.&nbsp;&nbsp;2-4pm&nbsp;Sounds of the &lsquo;Ecotone&rsquo;, with Cameron and Siannie&nbsp;A creative workshop exploring sound, music and Gaelic folklore at the woodland edge.&nbsp;This family friendly workshop invites participants to explore the woodland threshold through listening, sound mapping and playful creative responses to its rhythms and stories, opening up new ways of noticing and connecting with nature. &nbsp; Tune into your senses and be immersed in the woodland environment through activities from pony walking &amp; forest bathing to poetry and performance.&nbsp;FOR REST-FEST is a celebration of our community and our woodland while engaging in creative and mindful activities. Spring Equinox Celebration of Balance, Growth &amp; New Life hosted by South West Mull and Iona Development (SWMID)As day and night come into perfect balance, we invite you to gather in Tiroran Community Forest to celebrate Ostara, the Spring Equinox &mdash; a moment of equilibrium, renewal and the true arrival of Spring.Following the darker months, Ostara is a joyful seasonal festival that honours lengthening days, warming earth and the first signs of abundance returning to the land. It is a time to step forward with intention, reconnect with nature and celebrate growth &mdash; both around us and within our community.This relaxed, family-friendly woodland gathering blends seasonal tradition with creativity, food and shared outdoor experience.🌱 What to ExpectEquinox Welcome Gathering - We&rsquo;ll begin with a simple moment in the forest to mark the balance of light and dark, reflecting on the changing season and looking ahead to brighter days.Spring Crafts for all ages.
