Spotlight PA empowers communities through investigative journalism, highlighting local issues and celebrating unsung heroes. By fostering civic engagement, they aim to strengthen democracy and inform citizens about critical matters affecting their lives.

Over the past year, Spotlight PA&#39;s Community Spotlight series &mdash; made possible through a partnership with United Way of Berks County &mdash; has introduced readers to 26 neighbors quietly making Berks County stronger: teachers, volunteers, small business owners, and everyday community leaders whose work doesn&#39;t always make headlines, but should. On October 3, join us at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts as we bring all 26 honorees together in one room to celebrate them in person. This breakfast kicks off Spotlight PA&#39;s Ideas Festival, a day-long civic journalism and community event for Berks County. Expect a warm morning of recognition and connection: breakfast, remarks from Spotlight PA, United Way and Berks County Community Foundation leadership, and a chance to meet the people behind the stories &mdash; alongside others who care about the future of this community.

Join us on October 25 at Axemann Brewery for friendly competition, and a chance to put your local knowledge to the test.
