Stage Left Theater

Stage Left Theater presents progressive, community-focused theater that challenges and reflects contemporary issues. They aim to keep local artists working and make theater accessible to all, fostering a vibrant arts culture in Spokane.

Don't Let the Lights Go Out — Light What Comes Next Stage Left has always been something different. Not theatre for theatre's sake — we present theatre that challenges, connects, and reflects the world we're actually living in. That doesn't happen without a community willing to fight for it. We're at a turning point. New leadership, a shifting landscape for the arts, and a funding gap that's real — but closeable. We need to raise $15,000 by end of summer, and every dollar is a vote for what live progressive theatre can be in Spokane. Your gift keeps local artists working, stages lit, and doors open to everyone, not just those who can easily afford a seat. This is the moment to show up for something worth keeping.Give today and help light what comes next at Stage Left.

Light What Comes Next

Minister of Sorrow began as a seven-minute monologue written during the darkest days of the pandemic. Playwright Pam Kingsley kept going — through our own Spokane Playwrights Laboratory, to a win at the 2023 Appalachian Playwriting Festival, to packed houses right here in Spokane in December 2024. This is exactly the kind of new, local work Stage Left exists to nurture. Now that work is heading to WSCTA's Kaleidoscope 2027 to represent Spokane on the state stage — and getting a cast, crew, and set on the road isn't cheap. Your gift helps Emma Pace's story go further, and helps Stage Left build the next one after it. Be part of the next chapter: help us send Minister of Sorrow to Kaleidoscope 2027!
