Star Center Theatre Inc fosters community through the performing arts, providing opportunities for creative expression and education. They aim to inspire, entertain, and unite diverse audiences by showcasing impactful theatrical productions.

Set in the turbulent 1950&#39;s, MEMPHIS tells the story of Huey Calhoun, a white, free-spirited radio DJ from the wrong side of town, and Felicia Farrell, a talented Black singer with dreams of stardom. When Huey falls in love with Felicia&#39;s voice-and with Felicia herself-he sets out to bring her music, the rhythm and blues sound of underground Memphis clubs, to mainstream radio.&nbsp; As Huey&#39;s fame grows, so does the tension between his bold ideas and the deeply rooted racial barriers of the era. Felicia&#39;s career begins to take off, but the world isn&#39;t ready for their love or for the sound they are trying to share.&nbsp; Packed with high-energy dance numbers, heart-pounding rock &#39;n&#39; roll, and soulful ballads, Memphis is an inspiring story about passion, courage, and the power of music to bring people together-even the world tries to keep them apart.&nbsp;

Spring Break: Shakespeare!March 16th-20th, 8am-5pmAges 8-18. Break into Shakespeare with Star Center Theatre&#39;s Spring Break Intensive! We will familiarize students with language, costuming, themes, set design, improv games and have a ton of fun all along the way!&nbsp; Our goal is to empower students with Shakespeare so it is no longer foreign or overbearing. Students will leave the camp with a monologue that they can take to competitions or use in future auditionsStudents will perform monologues and scenes on the final Friday, and we invite and encourage friends and family to cheer your child on!
