Honor Día de los Muertos with the Stockton Sister Cities Association as we come together for an evening of remembrance, culture, and community. 💐 While Día de los Muertos may appear a little mysterious at first glance, it is far from a scary occasion. It is a beautiful Mexican tradition centered on love, remembrance, and honoring the lives of those who are no longer with us. Together, we will celebrate traditions that connect Stockton with Empalme, Mexico sister city, our families, and communities across borders. By joining us, you are supporting our mission to foster global understanding through shared stories, art, traditions, culture, and music. 🎭 We invite you to bring your curiosity, your memories, and, if you wish, a photo or small memento of a loved one to place on our community ofrenda. Flowers and candles will also be available for purchase for a nominal fee to add to the ofrenda in remembrance of someone special. Throughout the evening, enjoy live music performed by A Touch of Magic, heavy appetizers catered by Octavio’s Restaurant, and a No Host Bar staffed by our friends at Michael’s Pizza Restaurant. Guests will also have the opportunity to experience traditional half face painting and take memorable photos with beautifully dressed Catrinas, again for a small donation. Most importantly, this evening is about coming together as a community to celebrate life, honor our loved ones, and experience the beauty and meaning behind Día de los Muertos. We hope you will join us for this special celebration of remembrance, culture, tradition, and community.
