Join Zero Waste for a free community screening of The Plastic Detox at the Historic Lynwood Theater on Sunday, September 20, noon-2pm.&nbsp; From an Academy Award-winning team, The Plastic Detox is a new, eye-opening, and ultimately uplifting documentary that reveals the startling effects plastics and toxic chemicals are having on our bodies and health. Learn how you might lower their presence in your body in a relatively short period of time through simple changes in lifestyle. The film follows five couples with unexplained infertility as they &ldquo;detox&rdquo; from plastic for three months to see if it changes their overall health and fertility. Following the movie, the audience will have a chance to ask questions of toxicologists Dr. Shirlee Tan and Dr. Elinor Fanning, plus Zero Waste WA executive director Heather Trim will talk about 2027 proposed WA state plastics legislation. There will also be two raffles: 1) A basket of plastic-free home care products, courtesy of Town &amp; Country Market, and 2) The book, The Problem with Plastic, by Judith Enck, donated by Eagle Harbor Book Company.
