The Centre for Theology and Community empowers churches to engage in faith-filled community organizing, transforming lives and neighborhoods through justice and collaboration. They support local leaders to act for justice and build stronger communities.

Join us for a fun-filled evening in support of CTC&#39;s 20th Anniversary Fundraising Appeal. For two decades we&rsquo;ve supported churches to put faith into action through faith-filled community organising. From our early beginnings just in East London to becoming strategic partners of Citizens UK and supporting churches across England and Wales, our journey has been shaped by our conviction that when churches invest in local people who are passionate about their faith, and are open to acting for justice with their neighbours, communities are transformed. This year we are fundraising to build up our Innovation Fund and our reserves so that when a new leader emerges or a congregation is ready to act, we are able to respond. We want CTC to be as faithful and flexible in the next 20 years as it has been in the last. The evening will take place in the beautiful&nbsp;St Mary&#39;s Church in Walthamstow, a place rich in history, music and stories of faith. Over the years, St Mary&#39;s has been home to generations of people seeking to serve their neighbours and build stronger communities. More recently, it has become known as a place where faith-filled organising has helped bring about tangible change, with church leaders and local residents working together to transform their local community.&nbsp; We hope the funds raised on the night will help us support more churches in East London and beyond to develop leaders, build stronger relationships, and become catalysts for hope and transformation in their communities. So come along on the 9th to test your knowledge, meet new friends, and support a great cause&mdash;all in one place. It&#39;s an in-person event packed with laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of brain teasers. On the week of the 90th Anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, join us for a reflective discussion on community organising and populism. We will explore the lessons from how people responded to populism 90 years ago and ask how faith-filled community organising can respond to rising divisions today.&nbsp;
