The Comfort Cub Program Inc

The Comfort Cub Program provides soft, huggable Comfort Cubs to grieving families, fostering healing and connection. Each purchase sponsors another cub for a family in need, ensuring no one has to grieve alone.

I&rsquo;m Olivia Welborn, 17 years old, and I am a junior in high school. I was inspired to make a change in my community over 6 years ago when I lost a friend to Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). Since then, my family and I have been committed to raising funds to give back to others. I am continuing this journey with The Comfort Cub, a non-profit organization founded to support those who have experienced child loss, as well as those who have struggled with mental health or devastation. My mission is to raise enough money to provide and distribute Cubs to children currently at Children&rsquo;s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). Any amount is appreciated, tax deductible, and ALL donations go towards this cause. Thank you for your support!

Each weighted bear is designed to bring comfort to those experiencing a broken heart as a result of a significant loss or trauma. 🕊️ Your gift helps us provide Comfort Cubs to families and first responder communities deeply affected by loss. For every cub you sponsor, another is donated&mdash;extending comfort to two grieving hearts. We have been invited to attend the 25th Memorial events of 9/11. We will be gifting 1200 Comfort Cubs to families who suffered the loss of a loved one that tragic day. The cost for our small nonprofit in just bears alone is $70,000. We need your help in covering the transportation and logistical fees of getting our Cubs from California to New York City. This tragedy is one that affected our entire country. Our hope is that you can find it in your heart to make a tax deductible donation to help us honor those who were taken too soon. For 27 years our nonprofit has touched the lives of 200,000 people in the midst of the most difficult times in their lives.
