Since Dobbs,&nbsp;43% of Idaho&#39;s OBGYNs&nbsp;(114 of 268) left the state, stopped practicing obstetrics, retired, or closed their practice. The exodus disproportionately affects rural areas, with&nbsp;only 23 OBGYNs remaining to serve areas outside of major population centers.&nbsp;Now&nbsp;500,000+ Idahoans have to drive 30 min to 2+ hours for care. Since Dobbs, <a fr-original-style="" href="https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2837058" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">43% of Idaho&#39;s OBGYNs</a> (114 of 268) left the state, stopped practicing obstetrics, retired, or closed their practice. The exodus disproportionately affects rural areas, with only 23 OBGYNs remaining to serve areas outside of major population centers.Now500,000+ Idahoans have to drive 30 min to 2+ hours for care. Physician stories are vital, and now it&#39;s time to hear them.&nbsp;Behind each of these statistics is a doctor on the front lines of reproductive healthcare, struggling to provide care in often impossible circumstances. <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.theprovoiceproject.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">The Pro-Voice Project&nbsp;</a>utilizes storytelling and community dialogue to engage rural residents, embolden local grassroots leaders, and elevate the experiences that illustrate why reproductive rights matter to Idahoans.
