Awakening Our Inner Spring Residential Weekend Retreat at the Sufi GardenSeptember 18&ndash;20, 2026 As nature begins its transition into autumn, this retreat invites us to rediscover the springtime that remains alive within us. Through the teachings of the Sufi tradition, meditation, conscious movement, Zikr, and community life, we will take time to slow down, replenish ourselves, and renew our relationship with our inner life. In the intimacy of the Sufi Garden, surrounded by forest and silence, we will create together a space conducive to reflection, presence, and transformation. A New Gaze at Sufism Tradition, Meaning, and Renewal in the Twenty-First Century with Hamdi Ben Aissa This series marks the first step in A New Gaze, a broader initiative dedicated to re-examining and reinterpreting our spiritual heritage. Over the centuries, Sufism has developed a rich vocabulary, practices, institutions, and methods that have profoundly shaped the spiritual history of the Muslim world. But are these concepts still understood in their original spirit? Do the structures surrounding them still fulfill their intended purpose? Should certain traditional forms be preserved, transformed, or reimagined? Through six sessions, we will revisit key elements of the Sufi heritage in order to distinguish spirit from form, principle from habit, and explore what remains alive, meaningful, and relevant for our time. What We Will Explore: &bull; The origins and historical evolution of key Sufi concepts&bull; The relationship between spirituality, transmission, practices, and institutions&bull; The functions these concepts and structures once served and their relevance today&bull; The boundary between spiritual experience and institution&bull; The conditions for a living, coherent, and meaningful engagement with the Sufi tradition A Study Circle and Space for Inquiry More than a conventional course, this series is intended as a study circle and a space for collective inquiry.Participants are invited to become companions in research, contributing through their questions, reflections, experiences, and dialogue.Together, we will explore new ways of understanding and embodying the wisdom of the Sufi tradition in the contemporary world.
