Donate to Mahoning Valley Civic Forum
The Mahoning Valley Civic Forum, formerly the City Club of the Mahoning Valley, is about something we all feel slipping away—real conversation. Not the kind that happens in comment sections or across shouting matches, but the kind where people come together, listen deeply, and engage across differences with respect. Through thoughtfully curated forums and keynote speakers, we’re creating space for our community to wrestle with important issues, share perspectives, and build understanding in a way that strengthens all of us.To make this possible, we need your support. Your donation helps cover the essential costs that bring these conversations to life—speaker fees that allow us to invite diverse and impactful voices, refreshments that create a welcoming and hospitable environment, and venue costs that ensure these gatherings are accessible and consistent. If you believe in a stronger, more connected Mahoning Valley, we invite you to invest in this work. Together, we can rebuild the culture of civil, civic dialogue—one conversation at a time.

Tucked behind Thrive Mahoning Valley in a big red cabinet, the Freedom Pantry is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — no questions asked, no appointments needed. Anyone can give, and anyone can take. The pantry stays stocked with non-perishable foods, hygiene products, diapers, formula, clothing, and other essentials. For recently released detainees walking out with little more than the clothes on their backs, it's often the first place they can meet an immediate need with dignity. For local families stretching a paycheck, it bridges the gap without bureaucracy or shame. The pantry is a shared effort between ThriveMV and Community Liberation Foundation, kept running through community donations and the generosity of a handful of dedicated neighbors who routinely show up — restocking shelves, dropping off supplies, and making sure no one finds it empty.Your cash donation goes directly toward keeping it full. Whether you give $10 or $100, it turns into something tangible: a box of diapers, a bag of groceries, a bar of soap. Small contributions add up fast when a community decides to take care of its own.
