Together We Rescue Detroit Animals

Together We Rescue Detroit Animals is dedicated to saving dogs and cats from Detroit's streets and shelters, focusing on complex cases. We provide essential veterinary care, training, and support to help every animal heal and thrive.

Five animals. All at once. $6,000 in vet bills. This is the side of rescue nobody posts about — the same stretch of days that brings a kitten who can’t wait, three heart worm diagnoses, and a dog who needs surgery, all landing on a rescue with no shelter and no safety net. Here’s exactly where we stand: 🩺 Pumpkin — our tiny orange kitten fought a severe UTI ($700)… and she’s back in the ER. She’s little, she’s scared, and she needs us again. 🩺 Gus — heartworm positive. $1,500. Untreated, this disease kills. Treated, he gets a whole life. 🩺 Atlas — the shepherd who learned to trust people after surviving on his own. Heartworm positive. $1,500 to save him. 🩺 Riley — heartworm positive too. $1,500 more. Young, sweet, counting on us. 🩺 Zorro — came back to us needing a fractured tooth removed. $800 to get him out of pain. That’s $6,000 standing between these five and the care that keeps them alive. We don’t have a shelter. We don’t have an emergency fund in a bank. We have fosters, a mission, and you — that’s the whole operation. And every time it gets hard, you’re the ones who show up. We need you to show up again. 💛
