UC Makerspace empowers creativity, innovation, and economic development through hands-on learning, workshops, and shared tools. We build skills, collaboration, and confidence for makers of all ages in the Upper Cumberland.

Makerfest features live music, maker vendors, hands-on demos, food, car and bike shows, a community repair clinic, a Sunday cooking competition, and plenty of "I made that" energy.UC Makerspace's big summer fundraising event is a celebration of the people who build, repair &amp; restore, cook &amp; craft, weld, print &amp; paint, sew &amp; solder, carve &amp; race - and who sometimes think they can fix that thing just before they make it even worse. This is a weekend where folks from all over the Upper Cumberland with amazing talent showcase what creativity looks like when it moves out of the garage and into the fairgrounds. The profits help secure UC Makerspace and Imagine Foundry, a permanent home for creative learning, entrepreneurship, hands-on education, food business incubation, and community-powered problem-solving in the Upper Cumberland.

UC Makerspace and Imagine Foundry are still on the move, and while the Cookeville Mall was a serious possibility for our new home, we ultimately couldn&rsquo;t come to terms that made sense for both our nonprofits and mall ownership. That&rsquo;s okay. There&rsquo;s no frustration on our end, and we&rsquo;re not discouraged for a second. In fact, since we began working through the mall opportunity, two other properties have become available that may be an even better fit for what we&rsquo;re building. We&rsquo;re actively exploring those options now, and we&rsquo;re still pushing full speed ahead toward being in a new home by our July deadline. This move is about much more than a change of address. It&rsquo;s about creating a true hub for economic development in the Upper Cumberland, where creativity turns into skills, skills turn into confidence, and confidence turns into opportunity. UC Makerspace is being built to serve makers, entrepreneurs, small businesses, and future tradespeople. Imagine Foundry is growing into a hands-on children&rsquo;s museum and discovery space where learning happens through play, building, and curiosity. Peer-to-peer fundraising means you&rsquo;re not just donating, you&rsquo;re helping rally the community around a project that belongs to all of us. Every share, every ask, and every gift helps cover the real costs of this transition: deposits, build-out basics, safety upgrades, shelving, setup, moving expenses, and the supplies it takes to get our doors open again as quickly as possible.
