Uganda Dream School

The Uganda Dream School protects and empowers the neediest children in Kasenge, Uganda, by providing a free quality education, two meals a day, care, and for some, a place to live. Currently pre-K through middle school, and a high school coming soon!

The Dream School community is tenacious. &nbsp;After getting the news from the inspectors that the high school would need a dedicated dormitory building, Ron met with Gladys whose grandson hopes to attend Dream High School, and she donated two cows for us to sell to help raise funds for the construction, and with everyone&#39;s help the construction continues. Today the walls and roof are complete, but we are out of money and need additional funding to rent a tractor to backfill the foundation, and to buy concrete to finish the floors. There will be other expenses before the building is done, but this is the immediate need. All our workers are volunteer and work only for food. The total cost for construction of a two-room dormitory similar to the classroom building was estimated to be about $27,000. Doable? Our history says yes! We ask that you reach out to family, friends, co-workers and community members who may not have heard about the Dream School. Let us know if we can provide support for a fundraiser in any way. We can give a virtual presentation to your church group or other organization. USAID no longer exists, leaving Uganda to rely heavily on the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), but severe funding shortages have forced the WFP to drastically reduce rations.&nbsp;In the Central Region where the Dream School is located the cost of food has skyrocketed, and without your help the Dream School will have to reduce meals from two to only one a day, which is not enough to prevent starvation or malnutrition in already poverty-stricken populations like the children of Uganda.&nbsp;Please show your support today with a gift and help us by sharing this message with others. &nbsp;Your gift today can save lives.&nbsp;With love from all of us at Uganda Dream School.&nbsp;
