Uniform Exchange

Uniform Exchange provides sustainable school uniforms to families in Kirklees, reducing waste and supporting over 13,000 children annually. They collaborate with local schools to promote affordability and environmental responsibility in education.

Over the last 12 months, Uniform Exchange has supported more than 13,000 children across all 182 schools in Kirklees, giving out over 110,000 items and saving local families more than &pound;1 million. 🙌 💕We are incredibly grateful to the Mayor of Kirklees, Cllr Karen Allison, for choosing Uniform Exchange as the Kirklees Mayor&rsquo;s Charity of the Year 2026/27. Her support gives us a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness, bring people together and help even more children and families over the next 12 months. 🥳 Your gift supports Uniform Exchange&rsquo;s simple promise: every child should have the school uniform they need to learn with confidence. Every donation helps us continue providing free school uniform, supporting families facing financial hardship, and promoting a more sustainable future by making second-hand first choice. 🧡 Every donation helps us collect, sort, clean and pass on good-quality school uniforms, coats, shoes and essential clothing to families who are struggling with costs. Behind every uniform bag is a child able to go to school feeling included, confident and ready to learn and a family given a little breathing space during difficult times. Uniform Exchange also protects the environment by keeping good-quality clothing in use. Over the last year alone, we processed over 50 tonnes of donated clothing, preventing huge amounts of textile waste and supporting our zero-waste, circular economy approach. As the Mayor&rsquo;s Charity, we hope to bring people together through fundraising events, community activities and challenges, including ideas such as a Walk Across Kirklees, school and community talent events, music evenings, Christmas celebrations and corporate volunteering opportunities. Together, we can keep uniforms out of landfill and help children across Kirklees feel equal, supported and ready to learn. ❤️

Yorkshire&rsquo;s Elvis Charity Concert!&nbsp; We are delighted to welcome Yorkshire&#39;s Elvis, Dave Valentine, as the headline act for this special charity concert in support of Uniform Exchange. With more than 25 years of performing experience around the world, Dave is recognised as one of the UK&#39;s leading Elvis tribute artists, bringing the energy, charisma and unforgettable music of The King to audiences of all ages. His impressive career has included performances at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and The O2 Arena, along with television appearances and collaborations with some of the world&#39;s top Elvis tribute performers.&nbsp; Dave has generously agreed to support Uniform Exchange through this event, helping us raise vital funds so that local families can access affordable school uniforms.
