United Way of Gordon County unites community resources to enhance youth development, promote healthy living, and foster financial stability, ensuring all residents have access to essential services and opportunities for a thriving life.

$40 for 40: Celebrating 40 Years by Investing in the Next 40 United Way of Gordon County is approaching an exciting milestone: 40 years of serving our community. As we celebrate four decades of neighbors helping neighbors, we are also looking ahead and asking an important question: How can we make the next 40 years even more impactful? Our $40 for 40 Campaign invites individuals, families, and businesses to make a recurring gift of $40 a month in honor of United Way’s 40 years in Gordon County. Funds raised through this campaign will help support our growing work with ALICE households. ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are hardworking individuals and families who earn above the federal poverty level but still struggle to afford basic necessities such as housing, food, transportation, childcare, healthcare, and utilities. They are our coworkers, neighbors, friends, and family members. Many are working full-time, sometimes more than one job, but one unexpected expense, such as a car repair, medical bill, or increase in household costs, can quickly create a financial crisis. As United Way of Gordon County enters its next 40 years, we want to strengthen the safety net for these working families and connect them with resources before a temporary hardship becomes a long-term crisis. Your $40 for 40 gift will help us invest in programs and partnerships designed to increase stability, strengthen local families, and create greater opportunity for the people who work every day to keep Gordon County moving forward. $40 a month is our challenge. But your commitment is what matters most. Maybe your $40 is $40 a month. Maybe it’s $100, $25, $10, or $5. Maybe today, it’s simply the amount that works for you. There is no gift too small to matter. 40 years of caring. 40 years of community. Now, let’s build the next 40 together. Give $40. Help change a family’s trajectory. Invest in Gordon County’s future. UNITED IS THE WAY.
