Mission: Robotics – Intro to FLL After School Program Hosted by 11792 Botsburgh.This 5-week program is the perfect introduction for our 2nd semester FLL Teams curious about FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge! Students will work in small groups to dive deep into a classic FLL Challenge mission. Throughout the program, they will gain valuable hands-on skills, including:* Robot Design & Engineering: Building a custom base robot and designing creative, functional attachments.* Core Programming Basics: Learning how to code robot to autonomously navigate and interact with the challenge mat using PiBricks.* Problem Solving & Strategy: Analyzing missions, testing prototypes, and iterating on their designs to maximize efficiency.* Teamwork & Core Values: Working together like a real FIRST robotics team to achieve their goals.* The Innovation Project: What it is and how to approach it.We will host 2 separate Groups, Group 1 on Wednesdays and Group 2 on Thursdays. Please sign your student up for only one group. Space is limited to 21 students per group.Where: Boyce Middle School - STEAM ClassroomWhen: Group 1 - Weekly starting Wednesday October 21st through November 18thGroup 2 - Weekly starting October 15th (skip October 27th, Teacher In-Service) through November 19th Time: 3:30 PM (right after school) – 4:40 PM: Pickup will be on side of car rider side of building.What to Bring: A water bottle and a snack (snack must be eaten quickly as to not cut into program time. Note: All challenge models will be pre-built by our team so students can maximize their time focusing on robot design, attachments, and programming!
