Volcano Community Foundation

The Volcano Community Foundation supports the local community by preserving cultural heritage, promoting education, and fostering sustainable development in the Volcano area of Hawaii. They engage in projects that enhance community well-being and environmental stewardship.

Experience Volcano Festival &ndash; Garden and Home Tour&nbsp;Stroll through the restored gardens of the Kennedy family estate known as Bide-a-Wee, then continue walking down Old Volcano Road. The tour will conclude at the Tsuchiya House (next door to Kilauea Lodge). By registering below, you help the Volcano Community Foundation

Experience Volcano Festival - Garden and Home Tour

Join our special guided tour with lunch of Kapāpala Ranch exploring an area of the ranch not visited on previous tours. This tour is a rare opportunity to experience a historically significant landscape within the storied Kapāpala Ranch property. In addition to traveling through scenic ranch lands, the tour will focus on the moʻolelo of Kamehameha and Keōua, including the history and significance of the Battle of the Bitter Rain. Participants will travel up ʻĀinapō Road and visit historic caves. A 4WD vehicle is required for this tour. We may be able to accommodate a limited number of participants who do not have 4WD. Participants are strongly encouraged to secure their own transportation. Prior to the tour, we will notify all ticket holders about the meeting location and additional info.&nbsp;

Step back in time along Old Volcano Road&nbsp; This Rotarians-only walking tour explores the stories behind Volcano Village&rsquo;s early businesses, homes, and gathering places, and how they shaped the town we know today. Learn about the natural environment and historic homes, businesses, and people who have made up the heart of Volcano Village for more than 100 years. The tours start at 10 a.m. at the Volcano Art Center&#39;s Niʻaulani campus and last about 2 hours.&nbsp; Must be a member of the Rotary Club to join this walk!

Old Volcano Road Walking Tour- Rotarians Only

Join our guided walk along Old Volcano Road. Learn about the natural environment and historic homes, businesses, and people who have made up the heart of Volcano Village for more than 100 years. The tours start at 10 a.m. on the last Sunday of every month and begins at the Volcano Art Center&#39;s Niʻaulani campus, and continues down Old Volcano Road. The tour lasts about 2 hours.&nbsp;
