What the heck is wassail, anyway? Glad you asked! Wassail is a traditional holiday drink usually made with warm, spiced cider, and wassailing is an old English tradition involving drinking, singing, and spreading a little holiday cheer, typically outside. Frankly, I think they were onto something. And we're bringing the tradition to downtown Waynesboro for the third year with our Winterfest Wassail Trail! Grab your friends and make your way through participating downtown businesses, sampling their own versions of wassail along the way. Some will be alcoholic, some won't, and you'll get to vote for your favoriteSince downtown is a designated outdoor refreshment area (DORA), you can take your drink with you! Enjoy a little holiday shopping, support our local businesses, and turn your wassailing adventure into a festive downtown bar crawl. Must be 21 or older to participate in the Wassail Trail.
