Visual Art Workshop for Kids 🎨 Join us for a fun and creative 90-minute art workshop for children ages 6&ndash;10! Young artists will explore mixed media and learn how to transform recycled materials into something imaginative and unique. Using egg cartons, paint, and other materials, participants will create their own colorful jellyfish while experimenting with different artistic techniques and letting their creativity lead the way.

Welcome to the WNYArts Visual Art Workshop for Kids 🎨 In this workshop the children will work with watercolors, cardboard, and markers of different sizes. Through abstract cardboard creations they will discover and create forms and images stimulating their creativity, their imagination and their ability of free association. Bienvenidos al Taller de arte parar ni&ntilde;os de WNYArts🎨En este taller los ni&ntilde;os trabajar&aacute;n con acuarelas, cartulinas y marcadores de distintos tama&ntilde;os. A trav&eacute;s de la creaci&oacute;n de abstracciones sobre la cartulina, descubrir&aacute;n y sacar&aacute;n formas e im&aacute;genes, estimulando as&iacute; su creatividad, su imaginaci&oacute;n y su capacidad de asociaci&oacute;n libre.

WNYArts Visual Art Workshop for Kids

Join us for an evening of live music with Frank Gonz&aacute;lez.&nbsp;Born in Havana in 1970, Frank began playing guitar in 1986 and developed his craft through Cuba&rsquo;s rich troubadour tradition. He later became a member of the Asociaci&oacute;n Hermanos Sa&iacute;z and has performed at festivals and cultural institutions throughout Cuba. In 1998, Frank participated in the musical show Cuba Experience in Paris. Since 2003, he has shared his music across the United States, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, and has released three albums of original songs.

Disfruten una tarde de m&uacute;sica en vivo con Frank Gonz&aacute;lez.&nbsp;Nacido en La Habana en 1970, Frank comenz&oacute; a tocar la guitarra en 1986 y desarroll&oacute; su arte a trav&eacute;s de la tradici&oacute;n de Trova Cubana. Luego se hizo miembro de la Asociaci&oacute;n Hermanos Sa&iacute;z y ha tocado en festivales e instituciones culturales en toda Cuba. Ferrer will discuss Keeper of My Kin, her newly released memoir about migration, separation, and the love of one family forcing its way through the fissures of history. David is currently the Associate Music Director for the broadway musical Buena Vista Social Club. Oquendo honed his craft under the guidance of his Havana neighbor, legendary Buena Vista Social Club member Compay Segundo. A Grammy Award winner and multiple-time Grammy and Latin Grammy nominee, he has performed and recorded with celebrated artists including Paquito D&rsquo;Rivera, Chico O&rsquo;Farrill, and Marc Anthony. From leading Broadway musicians onstage to sharing the &ldquo;sophisticated, pure&rdquo; sound of Cuban music, Oquendo brings decades of experience and a deep connection to Cuba&rsquo;s musical traditions to every performance. This concert supports West New York Arts&rsquo; mission to uplift local voices and keep creativity thriving close to home.
