Woodstock Weavers

Woodstock Weavers fosters interest in handweaving and textile arts as exemplified by our mentor and dear friend, Berta Frey. Founded in her memory in 1972, the guild originally met in Woodstock, New York, where she lived & worked for many years.

Join us for a hands-on Basket Workshop 🧺&nbsp;This one-day, hands-on basketmaking workshop is being taught by Mary Ann Williams, a local basket weaver, to first time basket makers as well as those with experience. Using supplies and tools provided by Mary Ann, each participant will learn the basketmaking skills necessary to leave the day&#39;s workshopwith their completed piece. You may register for one or both sessions, there is a $45 materials fee paid directly to the instructor for each session. Each session will make a different basket.

Woodstock Weavers 2026-27 Membership

&nbsp;This round-robin self-study workshop will help us learn the potential of designing a project using a profile draft and block or unit weave structures. Each person will work with a profile and a weave structure, such as Summer &amp; Winter, Turned Twill, etc, to design a draft for their loom. We will each weave a sample on each loom; any samples not finished will be completed by the loom owner. Each weaver will get a notebook and information about each weave to put together with the samples. See the profiles posted on the groups.io page.Saturday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
