WTAL Canada

LXCL:WTAL is a national nonpartisan women-focused advocacy nonprofit advancing equity through systems change. We identify structural barriers affecting females across generations, convene leaders from government, industry, academia, & community to develop practical, evidence-informed solutions. Through research, dialogue, and strategic partnerships, we influence policy, strengthen leadership, and help build a Canada where opportunity expands, barriers are dismantled, & equity becomes operational

The Future of Leadership Will Not Be Built by Good Intentions Alone. For decades, conversations about advancing women have centered on awareness, advocacy, and individual action. These efforts matter. Yet they have also revealed a deeper truth. The greatest barriers women face today are rarely created by a single individual. They are shaped by the systems we inherit, the institutions we lead, the workplaces we build, the policies we create, and the assumptions we leave unquestioned. If we want different outcomes, we must design different systems. That is the conversation WTAL Canada is convening. As organizations, governments, and communities grapple with increasingly complex challenges, the need for thoughtful, systems-focused leadership has never been greater. ... A Different Kind of Gathering The 2026 Male Allyship Event & Biennial Male Ally Recognition Awards is not simply an awards presentation. It is a national forum bringing together leaders from government, business, industry, academia, architecture, healthcare, community organizations, and civil society exploring one defining question: What kind of leadership will the future demand? How do we build organizations that allow people to flourish? How do we move beyond good intentions to create lasting change? How do we strengthen communities without leaving people behind? How do we create workplaces where women are not simply included, but positioned to lead? And perhaps most importantly— How do we build systems that serve everyone better? This event challenges the idea that allyship begins and ends with support.Meaningful allyship is about influence. About leadership. It is about the courage to examine the systems we have inherited and the responsibility to improve them for the generations that follow. These conversations will explore public policy, organizational culture, innovation, leadership, and civic responsibility—not as separate issues, but as interconnected forces that shape opportunity.Alongside these conversations, WTAL Canada will honour an extraordinary group of men whose leadership has created lasting opportunities for women through sustained action, institutional influence, and principled leadership.Because allyship is not an identity. It is a practice. Who Should Be in the Room?If you believe leadership is about more than managing the present...If you believe better systems create stronger communities...If you care about the future of work, education, business, public policy, innovation, or economic prosperity...This conversation is for you.Whether you are a student, entrepreneur, executive, educator, architect, engineer, policymaker, elected official, community leader, or someone who wants to help shape the future we are building—You belong in this room.Women. Men. Emerging leaders. Established leaders. Those asking difficult questions. And those prepared to help answer them. Why This Evening MattersSome events celebrate achievement. Some events inspire. Some events educate. This event seeks to challenge assumptions. To connect ideas across disciplines. And to equip leaders to build systems that expand opportunity for everyone. The future will not be shaped by good intentions alone. It will be shaped by the systems we build. The decisions we make. And the courage to lead differently. Join us on August 22.

The Architecture of Allyship: Building Opportunity Together/The Men we Need

Our 2025 national survey surfaced a clear and urgent reality: approximately 21% of over 2,000 respondents identified the challenge of balancing professional ambition with personal responsibilities—particularly the complexities of marriage and motherhood—as one of the most pressing forces shaping their lives today. This is not simply a question of time management. It is structural. It is societal. And its consequences ripple across workforce participation, leadership advancement, mental health, and long-term economic security for women. The Ultimate Balancing Act brings this reality into sharp focus. This is a thoughtfully curated, high-impact gathering where accomplished women speak candidly about the often invisible weight they carry—navigating careers, caregiving, relationships, personal growth, and well-being—while operating within systems that were not originally designed with their lived realities in mind.Through honest dialogue and shared experience, this event will explore:

The tension between ambition and expectation

The unseen mental load that sustains families and communities

The trade-offs women are too often forced to make

And critically, how these lived realities must inform better systems, policies, and pathways forward

More than a conversation, this is a call to action. By convening leaders across sectors, The Ultimate Balancing Act will surface insight, challenge outdated narratives, and catalyze solutions that do not simply support women—but strengthen organizations, communities, and the broader economy. Designed as an intimate and intentional gathering, this event creates space for depth—not performance. Here, success is not just celebrated; it is examined, unpacked, and redefined. Who Should Attend — and Why It MattersThis event is for:

Young women standing at the crossroads of ambition and family, seeking clarity on whether they must choose—or how they might build both.

Women who have started families and are asking: Can I now build something of my own?

Entrepreneurs and professionals questioning whether adding family life will compromise—or deepen—their success.

Leaders and decision-makers who recognize that the future of work must evolve to reflect the realities of those within it.

Equally importantly—

Men.

Because understanding this balancing act is not optional—it is essential. For partners, colleagues, leaders, and allies, this is an opportunity to better understand the dynamics women navigate daily—and how meaningful support, advocacy, and shared responsibility can unlock not only individual potential, but collective progress. This event is a space for truth, clarity, and possibility.A space where women do not have to choose between who they are and what they can become. Join us.
