YWCA Central Carolinas

YWCA Central Carolinas empowers women and promotes racial equity through advocacy, education, and support services. They focus on eliminating racism and empowering women to create a more equitable community for all.

Join us for Exhale, a restorative self-care breakfast created for those working in social justice and equity spaces across our city—whether in grassroots organizing, corporate environments, or nonprofit organizations. This gathering is designed to bring together those committed to advancing equity for a morning of reflection, connection, and community. Guests will enjoy breakfast followed by a thoughtful panel discussion featuring Juliana Lozano (Executive Director - Despierta), Dr. Nicole McKinney (CEO- Collaborative Health Network) , Kamal Shaw (Culture & Change Strategist), and YWCA CEO, Pamela Senegal. Facilitated by Dr. Kenya Henderson (Therapist & Founder of Tranquil Talk with Kenya), the conversation will explore the importance of self-care, wellness, and sustainability while doing justice-centered work. Exhale is intended to be a moment of pause and restoration—an opportunity to connect with others doing this important work and to reflect on the practices that help sustain us. Thank you to our sponsor, Google Fiber, for partnering with us on such a dynamic event!
