💙 Simba Update &ndash; July 6 💙 On May 10, 2026, we received a call from Fraser Health regarding a 69-year-old senior who had suffered a broken hip and knee and required full-time support. We immediately began providing unlimited cat food and litter so she wouldn&#39;t have to worry about her beloved 12-year-old cat, Simba. On June 23, we received another call&mdash;this time from an ICU social worker. The client had been hospitalized for the previous two weeks and was being transferred to the surgical floor.&nbsp;We were asked if we could find someone to check on and feed Simba daily for the next six weeks. As always, we said yes. During our very first visit to her home, we discovered that Simba had a large gash that required veterinary care.&nbsp; Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, Simba received the treatment he needed and is now fully healed. ❤️ 📅 July 6 Update We have now learned that Simba&#39;s mom is expected to remain in the hospital for another 4&ndash;5 months. While she focuses on her recovery, one of our amazing volunteers has welcomed Simba into their home, where he is receiving love, companionship, and excellent care. Now we need your help.We&#39;ve attached video showing the cost of Simba&#39;s food and litter. Our goal is to have his supplies fully sponsored for the months ahead so we can provide everything to his foster caregiver without placing the financial burden on them. $432.15&nbsp; By donating, you&#39;re helping a hospitalized senior keep her cherished 12-year-old companion safe, healthy, and loved until they can be reunited.&nbsp; You&#39;re also helping Zoey&#39;s Pawsome Pets Society The Chilliwack Pet Food Bank continue saying &quot;yes&quot; when vulnerable pets and the people who love them need us most.
