Possible sightings include quail, woodpeckers, Wood Duck, Bald Eagle, sparrows, swallows, and assorted Creekside species. Otters and beavers also frequent the area. You will be hiking in an area affected by the Camp Fire. As we bird, we will explore this fire-adapted landscape and see the vigorous regrowth of the past 5+ years. Wear sturdy shoes/boots and bring plenty of water, snacks, and insect repellent - there will be no water filling stations.
