Uncontrolled bleeding injuries can result from natural and manmade disasters and from everyday accidents. When bleeding is severe, it can kill a person within minutes. This activity includes lectures, discussion, and hands-on skills stations.  There is no test.  After completing this activity, participants will be able to:• Explain the purpose of Stop the Bleed and emergency bystander bleeding control treatment strategies.• Utilize Stop the Bleed emergency bystander bleeding control treatment strategies when a person is suspected of having life-threatening uncontrolled bleeding.• Practice Stop the Bleed emergency bystander bleeding control treatment strategies via hands-on skills stations, including the ABCs of bleeding control: Alert, Bleeding Control, and Compress/Pressure (with and without tourniquets). Target Audience: This activity is appropriate for anyone.  No previous experience required.
